Note: Paul Sormani is known for his fine copies of Louis XV and Louis XVI furniture and decorations. He exhibited at the 1849, 1855, 1862, 1867, and 1878 exhibitions. The firm was established for eighty-seven years, located at 7 Cimetiere Saint-Nicholas from 1847-1854 before moving to 114 Rue du Temple. In 1867 the workshop moved to 10 Rue Charlot, where it continued to operate after his death under the guidance of his wife and son until 1934.

Note: Dubois became a maitre ebeniste in 1742. The inventory after his death revealed an extensive workshop with over one hundred pieces of furniture and twelve work benches.
