Darilek, Consignments & Condition Report Manager, began her career in 2002
at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin, TX where she served
as the Visitor Services Coordinator. Darilek moved to Japan in 2005 and
participated in the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program. As an English
instructor, she spoke at community engagements and presented workshops at
educational seminars. When Darilek relocated to New Orleans in 2008, she
joined Neal Auction Company as its Client Services Representative and, in
2014, advanced to Consignments Administrator. She assumed her current role
as the Consignments & Condition Report Manager in 2017.
In her free time, Darilek enjoys volunteering for local historical and
cultural institutions, including the Hermann-Grima and Gallier Historic
Houses, Save Our Cemeteries, and the National Trust for Historic
Preservation. As a 2016 Planning Committee member for the Louisiana
Children’s Museum World’s Fair, she helped develop an exhibition on Japan.
Fueled by a passion for music and community, Darilek was also part of the
production department crews for the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival,
South by Southwest (SXSW), and Austin City Limits.
Darilek earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Texas State
University (formerly Southwest Texas State University) and is currently
pursuing her Master’s Degree in Arts Administration from the University of
