 Rachel
Weathers, Director of Paintings, Prints & Photography, has worked with art and
antiques in Texas and Louisiana for the last seventeen years, including holding
positions with several New Orleans galleries and the Public Art Coordinator in
Dallas, Texas. Weathers received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University
of Texas at Austin and has done graduate work in the Art History Department at
Tulane University. She has taught university classes and has published several
articles in scholarly journals.
Weathers holds a Connoisseurship Certificate from the Appraisal Studies Program
of Fine and Decorative Arts at George Washington University (2003), and has
completed the American Society of Appraisers courses in Appraisal Studies at
Northwestern University (2005). She has appraised objects in institutional
collections including the Mississippi Museum of Art and the Historic New Orleans
Collection as well as well as those in many private collections in the Gulf
Coast region during her over eight years with the firm.
