E6000-8000 Note: Davies studied at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1878 he worked in a range of media and is most known for his romantic paintings of dancers and nymphs in wooded settings. A mystic thinker and a member of the Ash Can School, he was active in arranging the famous Armory Show of 1913
