A Bété Carved Wood Face Mask, Gre and a Punu Carved Wood Ancestor Figure, the Bété mask, Côte d'Ivoire, with deep horizontal banding incorporating bold facial features, the salamander incised forehead issuing horns; brass tacks and nail decoration throughout; the paint decorated Punu female figure, Gabon, carved standing with a cloth covering suspended over her waist, scarification, height 11 3/4 in. and 18 1/2 in. respectively.
