A Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Bottle Vase, Guangxu Period, late 19th c., the globular body with a broad band of composite foliate scroll above petal lappets, the molded shoulder with a foliate scroll band above pendant ruyi heads, the neck with a key fret band beneath tall upright leaves, the flared mouth with a wave border above pendant ruyi heads, the foot encircled by a classic scroll, base with six character Guangxu (1875-1908) mark in underglaze blue, height 15 1/4 in.
- Provenance: Provenance: Acquired from the estate of Vera Kara Dube (b. 1921), Bryan, TX. Ms. Dube was the daughter of Joseph Kara who, in 1914, co-founded the Shuanghe Shen Brewery in Beijing.
