A Chinese Carved Boxwood Figure of Xi Wangmu, 20th c., the Queen Mother of the West intricately carved wearing long flowing robes, standing with a deer and boy attendants at her side and a phoenix with a basket of peaches above her head, figure height 20 3/4 in.; presented on a carved wood "ruyi" cloud stand, overall height 24 1/4 in., within a fitted plexiglas case with wood base.
