A Chinese Carved Red Lacquer and Hardstone Applied Four Panel Floor Screen, late 19th/early 20th c., recessed red lacquer surface incised with diaper and wave patterns, relief-applied with jade, quartz and other hardstones to depict Beauties in garden landscapes set with pavilions, trees and seasonal plants, reverse lacquer surface with painted floral sprays, height 75 1/4 in., width 77 1/2 in. Provenance: Estate of Irene S. Chandler (1916-2010), New Orleans, LA, acquired S.Y.
