A Chinese Embroidered Silk Folk Garment Ensemble, 19th c., including a robe embroidered to the front and rear with precious antiques, scholarly objects, flowers, and butterflies, picked out in satin stitch and couched gold threads on a pale pink ground, the neck attached with foliate collar hung with tassels, the sleeves of embroidered blue silk, height 47 1/2 in., width 63 3/4 in.; and a skirt with floral design picked out in satin stitch on a red ground, the hem hung with tassels, white cotton waist band, height 37 in.; together with an embroidered shawl with satin stitch floral design on a lavender ground, hung with tassels, (3 pcs.)
