A Chinese Export Famille Verte Porcelain Covered Soup Tureen and Underplate, 19th c., the body of oval form flanked by entwined double-strap handles, decorated in polychrome enamels with alternating bird-and-flower and figural reserves on a gilt ground with floral sprays and butterflies, the conforming domical lid with a lotus mounded gilt mushroom finial, the underplate also conforming, tureen: height 11 in., width 15 in.; underplate: length 14 1/4 in., width 11 3/4 in.
