A Chinese Export Porcelain Armorial Platter, 18th c., the oval well with a central armorial shield Argent with a fess Sable, four crescents Sable, and a single crescent Or, with flanking floral and feather quill supports, surmounted by a phoenix over flames Proper above a crown Or, the motto reading "fide et...", with raised blue dot banding the outer well with further bands in iron red, gilt and blue to the rim, height 1 in., width 13 in., depth 10 1/4 in.
