A Chinese Export "Rose Canton" Rectangular Covered Tureen, probably late 19th/early 20th c., painted in gilt and famille rose enamels, the base exterior with rectangular panels of flora and butterflies, the interior with scattered flora, the lid with 4 panels of flora and butterflies, and gilt-edged roundels with a single bird and floral gilt pinecone knop, brown-edged rims, canted corners, height 5.5in., length 9.5in., depth 8 in.
