A Chinese Longquan Celadon Yen Yen Vase, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), heavily potted globular body rising from a splayed base, issuing a tall trumpet neck, freely carved throughout with leaf tips, floral vines and concentric bands, height 19 3/8 in., fitted wood stand, overall height 21 in. Provenance: Estate of Irene S. Chandler (1916-2010), New Orleans, LA, acquired in Hong Kong, 1953-1954 Note : A May 27, 1960 Detroit Times article titled ""East Meets West in Home Decor"" by Vera Nolan discusses the placement of Chinese Art in Irene Chandler's home in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
