A Chinese White Jade Plaque Pendant, even white stone carved in rectangular form, relief-decorated to one side with one monkey in a peach tree, another holding a large peach beneath, and a bat overhead, the reverse carved with lotus blossoms beneath an inscription, height 2 1/2 in., width 1 5/8 in., depth 1/4 in.
- Notes: Note: The monkey and peach are both symbolic of longevity and the bat of good fortune. Thus the three together represent the wish for a long life complete with good fortune and happiness.
