A Chinese Wucai Porcelain Circular Box and Cover, probably late 19th/early 20th c., drum form body decorated with a continuous landscape scene with boys at play, the slightly domed cover surmounted by a strap handle and decorated en suite, interior of cover with six character Wanli mark, height 7 1/4 in., diameter 5 1/8 in., fitted wood stand, overall height 9 1/8 in.

  • Provenance: Provenance : Estate of Merle Tennyson Montjoy (1920-2008), sold for the benefit of the Mississippi Museum of Art.
