A Collection of Antique Wallpaper Covered Band Boxes, c.1830-1850, including large circular (height 10 in., diameter 10 in.) and oval ( length 13 in.) shapes, each handmade of American machine-made paper in scroll and floral designs, one lined with Boston newspaper; a square example (width 9 in.), covered with English floral block-printed paper and a small (length 6.5in.) oblong box (c. 1830) homemade from a variety of papers including wood-grained, Greek Key and floral examples; together with a French commercially made oblong box (length 11.5in.) covered in flocked ribbon paper, interior with scenic label of Bordeaux manufacturer. Note: 'Estate' condition.
