A Collection of Eight Chinese Pottery Animals Figures, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) or earlier, grey and red pottery figures including: a recumbent ox, height 2 7/8 in., width 6 in; a recumbent boar, height 2 1/8 in., width 4 3/4 in.; a recumbent camel, height 2 1/4 in., width 5 in., a recumbent pig, height 2 1/4 in., width 4 1/4 in.; two recumbent rams, height 2 1/4 in., widths 2 3/4 in. and 3 in.; a standing cockerel, height 2 5/8 in., width 4 1/4 in.; and a seated dog, height 4 3/8 in. Provenance: With self-taught artist Ellen Montgomery (1922-2007), New Orleans, LA; thence as a gift to current owner."
