Description:

A Confederate Uniform, West Point Coat and Pant, c. 1857, attributed to Cadet Paul Jones Quattlebaum of Edgefield County, S.C.; the jacket converted and used as his Confederate shell jacket by removing its tails. Quattlebaum was appointed to the Provisional Army of the Confederate States of America and quickly rose through the ranks becoming a Lieutenant Colonel. His last duty station was at Mobile, AL.
