A Continental Mechanical Lunarium, c. 1905, the 5-inch diameter terrestrial globe at the center unsigned and made of two color printed tin hemispheres, the equator graduated, the oceans with ocean currents, the continents with nation states variously colored in outline and showing cities and rivers, the presence of St. Petersburg and independent Panama, indicate a date of manufacture between 1903 and 1907, mounted centrally with a brass arm and wheel and chain gear mechanism to a brass Moon ball, the arm stamped TEKA GES. GESCH. 18., the Moon arranged to move on small casters around the edge of the metal horizontal plate, painted in black, brown and white and graduated in days 1-28 and hours 1-12 (x2), one half labeled Nachtstunden (night hours), on a turned hardwood round molded plinth base, diameter 17.25 in.
