A Continental Paint-Decorated Carved Pinewood Armoire, early 19th c., dated 1815, probably Portuguese, having a broken arch scrolled pediment, a rosette and foliate carved crest, the frieze mounted with a heart, a pair of arched raised panel doors divided by an integral corinthian pilaster and displaying decorative pressed brass escutcheons, the sides chamfered and with applied foliate and rosette carved panels, on a molded base with bun feet, overall colorful floral paint with red trim, classical urns of flowers in each panel, height 87 in., width 54 in., depth 20 in.
