A Fine American Aesthetic Carved Rosewood, Gilt-Incised, Bronze, Silver Gilt and Onyx Mounted Side Chair in the Moorish Taste, attributed to Herter Bros., New York, late 19th c., the slightly arched voluted crest with a foliate strapwork mount above a shaped inset white onyx panel with silvered and gilt bronze floral mount, the stiles floral carved and with matching bronze mounts, padded back trapezoidal seat on turned tapered legs ending in I.R. Comb Co. stamped India rubber casters by Goodyear #1851. The whole with gilt incised detail, in 'estate' condition, height 36 in., width 22 in., depth 18 in.
