A Fine American Classical Carved Mahogany Games Table, early 19th c., Philadelphia, the foldover top with canted corners, cove molded frieze, anthemion and acanthus carved "downward cascade" stem, oval plinth, acanthine collar, acanthus carved hipped saber legs, paw feet, casters, note: original finish, height 29 in., width 36 1/2 in., depth 18 in.
- Notes: Note: The canted corners, cove molded apron, downward cascading acanthus and melon carved support, and oval plinth with modified saber legs on this table are closely related to a well-known games table from a Philadelphia maker in the collection of Donald Fennimore and illustrated in Smith.
