A Fine American Classical Giltwood Pier Mirror, c. 1830, Baltimore, the blocked frame with corner rosettes, divided mirror plate, the sides with lotus and rope carving interspersed by reeding retaining bright original gilt surface with mirror plate and back boards intact, height 61 in., width 29 in. E2000-3000 Note: A similar mirror installed in a townhouse designed by Robert Mills on Baltimore's Waterloo Row is illustrated in Cooper, Classical Taste in America, p. 106, pl. 69.
