A Fine American Gilt Brass Figural Girandole Garniture, mid-19th c., attributed to H.N. Hooper & Co., Boston, consisting of a three-light centerpiece with standard of a recumbent woman with fruit, marble base, prism hung, flanked by two single-arm fixtures with standards of Roman centurions, centerpiece height 18 3/8 in. Note : The standards of the single light girandoles are illustrated in the 1850s H.N. Hooper & Co. catalog as item No. 318 Reference: Bacot, H. Parrott, Nineteenth Century Lighting, pp. 194-195."
