A Fine American Maple and Birdseye Maple Parlor Cabinet, c. 1875, Philadelphia, attributed to Daniel Pabst, the lock stamped "Shannon", the breakfronted form with raised and projecting center section and flanking lower sections each fitted with a tan variegated marble top, the drawer above a paneled door sided by corresponding doors each displaying large gilt bronze corner hinges, the canted pilasters decorated with diagonal incised flutes on a conforming plinth, height 45in., width 44in., depth 17in. E4500-6500 Note: The distinctive architectural quality of this cabinet, the "Shannon" locks, and the usage of birdseye maple are a basis for the attribution.
