A Fine American Rococo Carved Rosewood Center Table, mid-19th c., attributed to John Henry Belter, New York, serpentine white marble top, rocaille carved apron, fruit carved cabriole legs connected by scrolled stretchers centered by a lobed finial, height 28 in., width 41 in., depth 32 in. Reference: A nearly identical rosewood table, also attributed to Belter, is illustrated in Dubrow, American Furniture of the 19th Century, p. 20
