Lot 164
Description:
A Fine and Early Sèvres Porcelain Cup and Saucer, c. 1755; gilded by Henry-François Vincent and painted by Nicolas Dutanda, "Vert Pomme" and "Jaune Clair" coloration, floral decor, the base marked "Sèvres/ 3ce/ 4e/ D.T." over entwined "L"s with central "C"s.
PLEASE NOTE: These very rare forms were probably fired at Vincennnes and decorated at Sèvres, including the beautiful gilding applied by the celebrated artist Vincent; the aesthetic appears a transition between the tastes of Mme. de Pompadour and Louis XV.
