A Fine and Rare Pair of Signed Pierre-Louis Dagoty Paris Porcelain Figural Corbeilles of Navette Form, 1804-1815, the undersides stenciled in red 'Manufacture/de S.M l'Imperatrice/P.L.DAGOTY/A PARIS' the indigo blue model-assembly marks, 'II-I-I', and 'II-II-I', as well as with a painters cipher of crossed 'f's' or 's's', with reticulated baskets supported by partial-gilt biscuit Cupids with quivers, on conforming navette-shaped terraces with lion's paw feet, decorated in bands of indigo blue with gilt rosettes, height 10.75in., width 13.25in E8000-12000 Note: At the beginning of the 19th c., the Dagoty firm is noted for their innovative use of biscuit ware in combination with glazed porcelain.
