V", length 5 1/2 in., diameter 3 in. Note: The carvings on this coconut are related to pieces by a known carver, J. B. Richardson of the 2nd Company, Washington Artillery, Louisiana, and illustrated in William C. Davis, Fighting Men of the Civil War, University of Oklahoma Press, 1998, pg. 164.
