A Fine Early Victorian Beechwood Polychrome-Decorated Chairback Settee, c. 1840-1860, in the manner of Robert Adam, the backrest dividing into four sections, each with floral painted crestrail above a pierced arched and paneled splat displaying romantic couples in 18th c. attire, the curved arms raised on columnar supports decorated with acanthus, the seat rail exhibiting floral decor, the turned legs headed with drapery swags, height 34 in., width 72.5in., depth 23 in.
