A Fine Egyptianesque Painted and Giltwood Marble Top Console Table, 19th c., Paris, displaying an antique gilt and verdigris painted surface, the long rectangular variegated green marble top with beveled edge and canted corners, the skirt adorned with a frieze of anthemia encircled within scrolled frames and interspersed with stylized florals supported by four female caryatids, each wearing a cascading draped headdress with a central rosette, above an anthemion and rosette carved standard, the square tapered legs embellished with Neo-Classical lyre and scrolled ornamentation, with carved paw feet, height 38 in., width 59.5in., depth 20 in.
