  • Provenance: Provenance: Pencil inscription on drawer reads "Capt. O.M. Smith Bought at New Orleans, LA., Feb. 9th 1894 This table was made in France many years ago. It was brought to this country and was owned by Mr. Stanton in his plantation near Vicksburg, Miss. It was sold at auction at New Orleans, LA., Feb. 9th, 1894, and purchased by Capt. OM Smith. Mrs. Hennesy".
