A Fine Italian Renaissance-Style Rosewood, Ebony and Ivory Vitrine, c 1870, probably Milanese, the arched pediment above a plaque engraved with playful putti, a gallery containing ivory balusters, canted corners surmounted by turned finials, the vitrine decorated with geometric motifs, pilasters displaying griffin terms, console base with a central drawer centered by an ivory plaque, cabriole legs with female busts, floral carvings, acanthus carved ankles and paw feet, pilasters and a large inlaid panel to the back, all joined by a shaped shelf, height 88 in., width 45 in., depth 18in
