A Fine Jacob Petit, Paris, Porcelain Bulb Vase, c. 1840, violet ground with raised gilt decoration and finely painted floral reserves, raised on Rococo scrolled feet, base with underglaze blue ³j.p.², height 9 1/8 in. Note: This piece is related to a pair conserved in the Metropolitan Museum of Art and illustrated in de Guillebon, Paris Porcelain, p. 245, pl. 178. Note: restoration.
