Sormani & Fils, Paris 10 Charlot", the shaped hinged top opening to three compartments, with mirror, small drawers and velvet-lined tray, scalloped skirt, raised on delicate cabriole legs, the whole with inlaid floral sprays, height 30 in., width 30 in., depth 16 in. E2500 3500 Note: Noted for inspired interpretation of Royal French furniture, Paul Sormani was born in Venice in 1817 and had a successful workshop at 10 rue Charlot in Paris by 1867.
