A Fine Napoleon III Ebonized and Gilt Bronze-Mounted Commode, c. 1855, Paris, in the manner of Paul Sormani, the breakfronted noire marble top bordered by and contained within geometric gilt-bronze moldings, the frieze decorated with mounts, the door decorated with an oval plaque detailing a female profile bust, the plinth on toupie feet, usual wear, some discoloration to gilt elements, height 45 in., width 45 in., depth 17 in.
