A Fine Napoleon III Three-Piece Kingwood Mantel Garniture of Architectural Form, c. 1855-1865, in the Louis XVI taste, the clock case with arched cornice surmounted by a festooned and beribonned wreath above a circular chapter dial calibrated in Roman numerals, the breakfronted pedestal mounted by pierced rosettes and a central foliate panel, the conforming plinth bordered by laurel chains, each candleholder with an urn form nozzle raised upon a gabled pediment supported by Corinthian columns divided by a vining relief-carved pilaster, the stepped back pedestal centered by a pierced rosette, possibly from the atelier of F. Alexamore-Georges Fourdinois, clock height 17 in., width 13.5in., depth 4 in.
