A Fine Pair of Large Copeland and Garrett Porcelain Pedestals, c. 1833-1847, with impressed and stenciled marks, modeled in high relief with classical motifs, on paw feet and plinth base, height 35 in., base 11 5/8 in. square. E7000-10000 Provenance: Rosedown Plantation, St. Francisville, LA. Note: A Copeland and Garrett advertising print for the 1845-1846 Manchester Exhibition shows similar pedestals; the firm made a specialty of "ornaments for the drawing-room".
