A George III Giltwood Fauteuil in the Louis XVI Taste, late 18th c., the underside having a printed paper label inscribed "F.A. Daiger, no 106 N. Howard St. Furniture, Upholstering and Bedding"; the oval back carved with laurel wreath surmounted by a medallion displaying a classical urn, the scrolled arms raised upon columnar uprights, the circular seat resting on fluted and turned legs headed by paterae, note: present gilt gessoed surface is on an ebonized ground, height 38in.
