A Good American Cast Iron Garden Urn, c. 1890-1903, labeled Kramer Bros., Dayton, OH (1890-present), the everted lip with acanthus border, fluted socle base on flared square plinth with foundry mark, height 32 in., diameter 31 in. Note: A prolific foundry known for marking its pieces often, Kramer Bros. changed their stamp to read "Kramer Bros. Foundry" in 1904. Reference: Israel, Antique Garden Ornament: Two Centuries of American Taste, p. 222. Provenance: Descended in a New Orleans family.
