A Good French Faience Bowl, mid-18th c., probably Nevers, depicting "L'Arbre d'Amour", decorated with the popular image of men perched in a tree around Cupid on the throne of love while women below attempt seduction or felling the tree to reach them, inscriptions refer to gifts and love, similar to one in the Musée de la Marine de Loire, height 3 1/2 in., diameter 12 1/2 in.~ Note: repaired.
