A Good Modern Gothic Walnut Secretaire and Cabinet, c. 1875, the superstructure with spindled gallery above door with polychrome ceramic plaque of vignette "Prince Hal Poins Falstaff", flanking drawers, all raised on turned columns, slant lid opening to a leather- lined writing surface, over a frieze drawer, the lower recessed drawer and two small cabinet doors all decorated with aesthetic carvings, the canted legs joined by stretchers ending in paw feet, retaining original strapwork hinges and brass hardware, height 60 in., width 38 in., depth 19 in.
