A Gorham Coin Silver "Medallion" Six Piece Coffee and Tea Service, Starr & Marcus, New York, N.Y., retailer, c. 1865, comprising a coffeepot, two teapots, a covered sugar, creamer and a waste bowl, flat-chased tapered oval forms on conforming applied feet, the broad rims with applied cast medallion profiles of classical female heads, cast winged putti finials, engraved script monograms on one side and a vacant reserve on the other, engraved date on the bottom of each "Dec. 13, 1865", coffeepot height 9 1/2 in., combined weight 118.60 troy ozs.
