A Group of Ten New Orleans Coin Silver Soup Spoons, early 19th c., including examples by Jean-Noel De Larue, Pierre Lamothe and Pierre Bertin, upturned fiddle handles with egg-shaped bowls except the Lamothe spoon which has an elliptical bowl; the two De Larue spoons engraved "JT" on the reverse and marked in script "De/Larue" in an oval flanked by bees in hexagonal cartouches, length 8 in., weight 4 troy ozs.; the one Lamothe spoon marked in script "P Lamothe" in a conforming rectangle, elliptical bowl, engraved "NP" on the reverse, length 8 1/4 in., weight 2 20 troy ozs.; and seven spoons marked in script "p Bertin" in a serrated rectangle, length 8 in., weight 15 20 troy ozs., 10 pcs., combined weight 21.40 troy ozs., in "estate" condition.
