A Group of Three Chinese and Japanese Snuff Bottles, the first, possibly Japanese, carved and lacquered ivory of tapering rectangular form, one side reserve decorated with figures on a red ground, the other with birds and flowers on a black ground, recessed base with Qianlong two character seal mark, stopper lacking spoon, height 1 3/8 in.; the second, probably horn, of flattened spherical form, inset to one side with an hexagonal ivory panel incised and painted with a pine growing from the rocks, signed, verso incised and inscribed, height 1 3/8 in.; the third, of carved and stained ivory in the form of a pomegranate borne on a branch, stopper, height 1 3/4 in.
