A Highly Carved and Inlaid Jacobean-Style Armchair, 19th Century possibly Spanish, the crest with intertwined rosettes above an arched panel inlaid with scrolling flowers and the initials "W.S.", the stiles with dark and light inlaid flower stems, carved Ionic capitals at each side, the scrolled arms with concentric circles, studded plank seat with carved seat rail, on baluster turned legs connected by stretchers, and ending in button feet, height 47in. width 23in. depth 23in.
