A Japanese Imari Plate, Meiji Period, the plate beautifully painted with a central roundel surrounded by an elaborately floral painted gilt ground cavetto with reserves of mountainous landscapes, the rim with gilt scrolling foliate leafy vines punctuated with iron red and gilt floral reserves, on a cobalt ground, the verso similarly decorated with fretted square mark, together with a cup, 20th c., also in the Imari taste, both with Stone Lantern, Highland, NC labels, diameter 9.25in.
