A Japanese Meiji Period Bronze JardiniŠre, 19th c., the rounded body very finely decorated with three primary raised relief panels depicting idyllic bird-and-flower scenes, the surrounding areas intricately incised overall with stylistic geometrical designs interspersed by three applied circular medallions, the waisted neck with the square spiral pattern, on a raised tripartite base with an applied inscribed panel, the interior base also decorated with floral avian designs with two large central raised characters and an inscription, height 13 1/2 in., diameter 11 in.
