A Japanese Porcelain Jar, late Edo/Meiji Period, 19th c., ovoid body with a tall cylindrical neck, decorated with alternating vertical bands with vining flower heads and floral cartouches, porcelain height 12 1/4 in., surmounted by a reticulated carved wood cover pierced with cloud designs, height 16 1/4 in., wood stand, overall height 18 in.

  • Provenance: Provenance : Estate of Merle Tennyson Montjoy (1920-2008), sold for the benefit of the Mississippi Museum of Art.
