A King Super 20 Silver Sonic Tenor Saxophone, c. 1962, H.N. White Co., Cleveland, Ohio, serial #394127, sterling silver bell and neck, with a Berg Larsen "Scoop Bill" 110-2-M metal mouthpiece, ligature and cap, Selmer Sax-Pak case included.

  • Provenance: Provenance : Estate of Henry J. "Hank" Barraco. Hank was a member of the American Federation of Musicians. Like so many early jazz musicians from New Orleans, he graduated from Warren Easton High School, and also attended Loyola University. He worked in clubs throughout the city and, for many years, on the Delta Queen. He traveled the world playing jazz with countless luminaries. Note: The vintage King Super 20 Silver Sonic tenor saxophones have been hailed as the best jazz tenor saxophones ever made. A small list of the great musicians who played this instrument include: "Cannonball" Adderley, Georgie Auld, Les Brown, Jimmy Dorsey and Charlie Parker.
